Harvey Weinstein just flew out of Los Angeles and is headed to an Arizona treatment facility that his brother suggested, but his final destination remains unclear.
Weinstein just left the private airstrip in Van Nuys after heated discussions with his advisors almost derailed the plan.
According to our sources, Weinstein was planning to go to Switzerland for treatment, but his brother Bob suggested he go to The Meadows, a treatment facility in Arizona. We're told Bob even offered to pay for it.
Bob suggested The Meadows, we're told, because the facility is popular among celebrities. Michael Phelps, Tiger Woods, and Selena Gomez have all reportedly spent time there.
Our sources say Weinstein's team still wants him to go to Switzerland and a final decision has not been made. We're told receiving treatment at a private residence — and not at a facility — is even still in play.
As we previously reported, Weinstein was very upset when he was told he could not take his cell phone with him into treatment. His position was he needed it to keep on top of business and personal affairs while he sorts out the scandal.
Weinstein originally planned to leave as early as Tuesday, but after his plane was unable to make it to Los Angeles in time, he spent an extra night in town.
The Blast obtained photos of the producer earlier in the day heading into his lawyer's office.
Weinstein was clearly dealing with lots of drama before leaving, he even got into an argument with his daughter Wednesday morning that resulted in cops being called over the family dispute.
