Harvey Weinstein may have a big problem in Los Angeles because the L.A. County District Attorney's office is now reviewing two cases against him for sexual assault.
We have confirmed that the L.A. DA has received submissions of two different cases from law enforcement against Weinstein for possible criminal charges. This could be a big issue for Weinstein, as this is the first time any criminal case has gone to a prosecuting agency for actual criminal charges.
DA spokesperson Greg Risling tells The Blast, "Two cases have been presented to our office by the Beverly Hills Police Department regarding Mr. Weinstein and are under review."
The Blast broke the story, Weinstein is already being sued by victims for his actions as a class action lawsuit. But this one could cost him more than just money — if charged and convicted, this could cost him his freedom.
