Guy Pearce Calls Kevin Spacey a ‘Handsy Guy’

Things got awkward in a hurry on an Australian interview show when Guy Pearce was asked his “L.A. Confidential” co-star Kevin Spacey.

During an appearance on Andrew Denton’s “Interview,” Spacey’s name was thrown out and Pearce clearly had a hard time finding the right words to say.

“Yeah … yeah,” Pearce said as he thought about what to say. “Tough one to talk about at the moment. Amazing actor, incredible actor … Ummmm, slightly difficult time with Kevin, yeah.”

“He’s a handsy guy,” Pearce finally said, eliciting a groan from the crowd. After a prolonged silence, Pearce added, “Thankfully I was 29, and not 14.”

Spacey was one of the first men in Hollywood to get taken down by the #MeToo movement after “Star Trek: Discovery” actor Anthony Rapp told Buzzfeed that Spacey made a “sexual advance” towards him when he was just 14-years-old.  Spacey would have been 26-years-old at the time of the alleged incident.

Since then, Spacey was let go from “House of Cards” and his part in “All the Money in the World” was re-cast and given to Christopher Plummer, who earned an Oscar nomination for the part.
