Flags are flying half-mast today in Guy Fieri‘s Flavortown because Guy’s American Kitchen & Bar is closing its doors for good.
The Times Square mecca — which was the subject of the greatest/worst restaurant review of all time by Pete Wells from New York Times — will be serving its last bit of Donkey Sauce on December 31.
Fieri confirmed the news to Eater and said he was “proud” of the restaurant, which opened back in 2012, but did not offer up a reason for the closure.
Don’t feel too bad for Guy … he still has over a dozen other fine dining establishments sprinkled all over the country.
I guess it’s time to give up on getting those questions answered. https://t.co/ak7ThC3Y0h
