One day after it was revealed that Jason Reitman has been quietly working on a “Ghostbusters” movie, we have a first look that raises way more questions than answers.
The teaser, released Wednesday, opens up on an eerie farm during a stormy night as flashes of light and noises come from a barn. As the camera ventures inside, the audience is greeted by a very familiar musical score as the wind blows up a sheet covering a dusty Ecto-1, the vehicle used by the OG “Ghostbusters.”
The movie is slated for Summer 2020, and all we know so far is that Reitman is picking up the cinematic timeline from where his father, Ivan Reitman, left off in the 80s.
Reitman has chosen to stray from the all-female “Ghostbusters” from 2016, but it’s unclear how the new movie will incorporate Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Dan Aykroyd or the late Harold Ramis.
Who you gonna call?
