Gene Simmons' Sexual Battery Accuser Dropping Lawsuit, Smells Like Settlement

By TheBlast Staff

The dishwasher who claimed she was groped by Gene Simmons during the opening of his family restaurant chain wants the case dismissed, and all signs point to a settlement with the rock legend.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, Jane Doe filed a request for dismissal Wednesday in Los Angeles. The case was originally filed in December of last year, and the woman claims she was working at a dishwasher at the KISS frontman's restaurant, Rock & Brews, back in 2016 during the launch party.

The request is asking for the case to be dismissed with prejudice, which means it's over and done with. The documents don't say if a settlement was reached, but a request for a dismissal from the plaintiff is indicative that something was worked out between the two parties.

Once a judge signs off on the request for dismissal, the case will be completely finished.

The woman had claimed Simmons came into the kitchen to meet the crew and take photos during the opening of the restaurant, but when it was her turn for a pic she said the rockstar reached over and put his hand on her vagina.

Along with herself, the woman had claimed Simmons was instructing other female employees to unbutton their shirts.

A settlement for Simmons wouldn't be out of the ordinary, as he settled a separate lawsuit for sexual assault last year after a reporter accused him of groping her ... once again at the opening of a Rock & Brews eatery.

She claimed Simmons came into the kitchen to meet the crew and take photos, but when it was her turn she said the rockstar reached over and put his hand on her vagina.

Along with herself, the woman had claimed Simmons was instructing other female employees to unbutton their shirts.
