The couple donated $200,000 for students in Chicago to attend the “March for Our Lives” rally later this month and when a local Florida station tweeted the story, they wrote, “.@DwyaneWade, wife donates $200,000 to student-ran gun control rally.”

Union was understandably perturbed, writing back, “When they let you know what they think of you. I have a name.”
D-Wade chimed in, saying, “It’s Gabrielle Union-Wade to be exact.”
The station owned up the offense, responding to several complaints by writing, “We cannot edit a tweet; however, her name is in the headline of our article and we have re-written a tweet that includes her name. We are not deleting the previous one, since we are owning up to our mistake.”
Last week, Wade surprised the students at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida by making an appearance at the school for their first full day back since the shooting that killed 17 students just last month.
