Floyd Mayweather took home a reported $300 million payday from his fight with Conor McGregor and it appears he’s taken $22.2 million of that to settle a debt with Uncle Sam.

Back in April, the IRS slapped Mayweather with a federal lien accusing him of owing back taxes from 2015 — the year he beat Manny Pacquiao and reportedly took home $200-$250 million for the bout.

Months after the lien was filed, Mayweather filed documents asking for a reprieve until he was paid for his fight with McGregor. Mayweather argued that he could not pay off the debt until he collected his paycheck.

Mayweather made good and paid off the lien — the government filed a release last month.

Knowing Floyd’s spending habits, expect a rematch with Uncle Sam in the near future.
