The Cardi B. endorsed clothing company Fashion Nova has been slapped with a federal lawsuit accusing them illegally profiting off another fashion company’s work.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the Los Angeles fashion company Riot Society claims Fashion Nova ripped off a Panda bear and a rose design, which they claim they copyrighted.
Riot Society claims to have discovered Fashion Nova was selling clothes with a similar design in June 2018. They sent a cease and desist letter to Fashion Nova but claim they never heard back.
They are suing for $150,000 per infringement and demanding all profits they made off their alleged design.
