Facebook Wages War Against Nude Burt Reynolds, Violates 'Community Standards'

Mark Zuckerberg apparently doesn't have an appreciation for the glory that was Burt Reynolds, because Facebook is scrubbing his most iconic pic from the platform.

If you were hoping to rack up a truckload of "Likes" by posting the 1972 nude spread with Cosmo featuring the Reynolds sprawled out over a bear skin rug, you better hold off.

According to multiple users, Facebook has been hiding posts from people posting the shot and citing it "goes against our Community Standards on nudity or sexual activity."

Facebook has been increasingly vigilant over the past year about dealing with material they deem inappropriate, and automatically delete most sexual imagery and nudity, regardless of the legendary star displaying it.

It should be pointed out that there's no genitalia shown in Reynolds' legendary picture, but clearly he oozes so much sex appeal that it was probably crashing the servers in Menlo Park.

As we reported, the "Smokey and the Bandit" star died at the age of 82 in Florida after suffering a heart attack. His death came as a shock to family and friends, who had said he was in good spirits and still cracking jokes in recent months.
