Drake Laughs Off Nightclub Assault Lawsuit, Denies Playing a Part in the Attack

Drake is demanding to be let out of a lawsuit over an assault at a Hollywood nightclub, saying the security video backs up his story and shows Kourtney Kardashian's ex-boyfriend is the one involved.
Drake is responding to a lawsuit filed by a man named Bennett Mcbride Sipes earlier this year. The lawsuit accused Odell Beckham Jr., Drake and Kourtney's ex-boyfriend, Younes Bendjima, of playing a role in an alleged assault at Delilah on March 24, 2018.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Drake’s lawyer wrote a letter to Sipes' attorneys, saying, “First and foremost, there can be no legitimate dispute that my client was not involved in the alleged 'attack' that is the subject of Plaintiff's Complaint. Indeed, the security video footage and screenshots from said video, which are incorporated into the complaint, unequivocally show that neither my client nor any member of his security team ever came into physical contact with Mr. Sipes.”
He continues, "Rather, the video clearly shows that the entirety of the physical altercation was between Younes Bendjima and Plaintiff, and that Drake was merely a bystander standing several feet away."
Drake also claims to have never instructed his security to join the assault, saying their job is to protect him and not "stir up dangerous physical altercations."
The rapper wants all claims against him dismissed immediately.
As The Blast first reported, Beckham is making a similar claim as Drake, denying any involvement in the attack and saying the security footage backs up his case.
Sipes sued Drake, Beckham, and Bendjima (as well as the club) for not providing adequate security. He is seeking unspecified damages.
The case is ongoing.
