"Degrassi: The Next Generation" fans will be upset when they find out why some of Drake's classmates weren't in his "I'm Upset" music video.
The Blast spoke with Mike Lobel, who portrayed everyone's favorite redeemed bully, Jay Hogart, and he claims his old pal Drake (AKA Jimmy Brooks) just forgot.
"I don’t know exactly what happened, but I’m sure it was an honest mistake that Daniel [Clark, who played Sean Cameron] and I weren’t there," Lobel tells The Blast.
Lobel says, "I miss the cast, we grew up together, it would have been incredible to see everybody and celebrate the reunion in such an epic way. I think Aubrey is a great guy, still the same guy, and I’m so happy and proud he pulled the old crew together. It was glorious to watch."
Earlier today Drake dropped the video for his new single "I'm Upset" featuring the "Degrassi: The Next Generation" crew at their 11th high school reunion, but fans noticed former students missing, including Lobel, Clark and Ryan Cooley who played J.T. Yorke.
As for J.T. (may he rest in peace), Drake hilariously cleared that one up on his Instagram, replying to a fan that Cooley "thought it was a scam."
Lobel has no hard feelings about the oversight in the music video but says watching "Im Upset" left him "wistful" and "nostalgic." He added he's actually bumped into Drake a few times since the "Degrassi" days and says "we always just pick up right where we left off."
So, just in case you still thought there was beef, Jay's omission had nothing to do with him being at fault for Rick shooting Jimmy ... or did it? *insert dramatic sound effect*
