Drake finally responded to Pusha-T‘s revelation that he has a secret son, and the rapper offers up a legit explanation for keeping the child hidden.
Drizzy dropped “Scorpion,” Friday morning at midnight, and in the track “Emotionless” he admits to fathering a child with adult-film star Sophie Brussaux, and says, “I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world, I was hiding the world from my kid.”
Drake also touches on the relationship with his son’s mother, quoting Michael Jackson‘s “Billie Jean” in his track “March 14.”
“She’s not my lover like Billie Jean but the kid is mine/ Sandi used to tell me all it takes is one time, and all it took was one time/ S—, we only met two times, two times,” he raps (Sandi is Drake’s mother). He continues, “I used to challenge my parents on every album/ Now I’m embarrassed to tell them I ended up as a co-parent/ Always promised the family unit/ I wanted it to be different because I’ve been through it.”
In the song, he also confirms his son was born on Oct. 11 and he took a DNA test to prove the child was his.
“March 14” isn’t the only song with a strong reference to the late King of Pop. While fans are loving Drake acknowledging his kid, they have mixed feelings on his song “Don’t Matter To Me” which features Michael Jackson’s vocals from a never before heard song.
Aside from Michael Jackson, the double album also features big names like Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, Future and Ty Dolla $ign.
