Dolly Parton paid tribute to her late brother by singing one of his famous songs during an emotional private family service.
Reps for the country singing legend's family tell The Blast, "Dolly, and the entire Parton Family, wish to thank everyone for their kindness."
Parton's 61-year-old brother, Floyd Parton, passed away December 6 in Tennessee.
The family tells us, "Yesterday, we laid our sweet baby brother to rest," adding that, "We all sang his lovely song, 'Rockin' Years,' together as a family at the service to say goodbye to him."
They said that Floyd, "lived a short life of love and beautiful songs." "Rockin' Years" was written by Floyd and released in 1991 when it was performed by Dolly and Ricky Van Shelton.
The cause of Floyd's death is currently unclear, and the family has asked for donations to be made in his honor to the My People Senior Activity Center in Sevierville, Tennessee.
