Forget a clown and a pony, DJ Khaled threw his son a 2nd birthday party for the ages … that also raised $100k for charity.
The big bash for Asahd went down Saturday at Marlins Park in Miami. Derek Jeter — retired New York Yankees star and current CEO and part owner of the Miami Marlins — presented a $100,000 check on behalf of the Marlins.
The money is for Asahd’s Initiative, named after Khaled’s son, a part of Khaled’s We The Best Foundation that will focus on enriching the lives of children by financially supporting programs focused on community needs, family values, and youth entrepreneurship.
Over 250 kids from various community organizations were also in attendance but Asahd was still the little man of the hour. He got his own little Ferrari with matching Ferrari stroller!
Khaled expressed his feeling about the day to PEOPLE, saying, “My son is the greatest gift of life, our children are the world’s biggest blessing, so I am so grateful to be able to celebrate his life with a carnival and to be hosting many inner-city kids and their families so everyone in our community can experience joy today at the iconic Marlins Stadium together in our hometown of Miami.”
