Demi Lovato Reflects on What Would Have Been Seven Years of Sobriety

Demi Lovato is looking back at her past “mistakes” on what would have been her seventh anniversary of sobriety.

The “Sober” singer got deep in an intimate IG post on Friday afternoon.

“Today I would’ve been 7 years sober,” Demi wrote. “I don’t regret going out because I needed to make those mistakes but I must never forget that’s exactly what they were: mistakes.”

One year ago on this day, Demi Lovato proudly showed off her 12 Steps app, which kept track of her sobriety by years, months, days and even hours. It displayed she’d been sober for six years.

The singer was hospitalized in July following a near-fatal overdose in her Hollywood Hills home. She entered rehab shortly after and has been working on her sobriety ever since.

In January, Demi celebrated her six months of being sober by eating cake and showing off her milestone chip.
