Demi Lovato is celebrating a personal milestone after receiving her second stripe on her blue belt after diving into Brazilian jiu-jitsu following her near-fatal overdose.
The "Sober" songbird shared the proud moment on IG Wednesday, posting a picture of her belt with the newest stripe addition.
"2nd degree blue belt!!!!" Lovato wrote while tagging her professor, Chris Light.
For her accomplishment, she also received a handwritten note from Light with the famous jiu-jitsu saying, "Earned. Not Given."
"This means the world to me and I couldn't be happier. Brazilian jiu-jitsu is a passion of mine and I can't wait to learn more and more," Lovato captioned the pic. "thank you @1chrislight for teaching me so much..I can't believe how far I've come since working together. You're a legend!!"
Let's not forget Demi Lovato is a legend herself because she received her second stripe the same month she knocked out Jay Glazer's front tooth during a kickboxing session.
Lovato has been focused on maintaining her healthy lifestyle and sobriety and isn't planning on rushing back to work.
