David Schwimmer has posted a hilarious spoof showing him with his hands full after a photo of his doppelgänger stealing went viral, and the star has a clear message for police.
"Officers, I swear it wasn't me," he wrote on Tuesday. In the video, he's holding several cans in a grocery store and looking directly towards the camera as if his theft was caught on tape.
"As you can see, I was in New York," he added. "To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation."
Schwimmer's video comes just one day after police in Blackpool, England posted a photo of the thief stealing from a local grocery store and fans noticed the clear resemblance to the "Friends" star.
Blackpool Police also noticed the similarities, and wrote back to citizens who made the connection: "Thank you to everyone for your speedy responses. We have investigated this matter thoroughly and have confirmed that David Schwimmer was in America on this date," they wrote. "We're so sorry it has to be this way."
