Courtney Love will be taking the stand in court — not for her own legal issues, but to help her daughter regain possession of a classic guitar that belonged to Kurt Cobain.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Frances Bean Cobain plans to call Courtney as a witness as part of Cobain’s ongoing fight with her estranged husband Isaiah Silva.

Cobain filed for divorce from Silva in February 2016. The former couple married in June 2014 and when they split, she listed her father’s estate as her own separate property in court docs.

Months later, Silva claimed in court documents that Frances gifted him her father’s Martin D-18E guitar — which is worth millions — as a wedding present. Kurt played the guitar during his “MTV Unplugged” show and reportedly only 300 of them were made.

Frances denies giving her soon-to-be ex-husband the guitar and demanded he return it. The battle over Kurt’s guitar has waged on for months with the trial for the divorce coming up soon.

In addition to Courtney’s testimony, Frances will also be presenting evidence in the trial including photos of the guitar, photos of a guitar shop, receipts from the shop and text messages from her ex to a third party.
