Coca-Cola couldn't have anticipated the biggest political event of the day would also turn into a free commercial.
During her testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford said she needed some caffeine after her emotional opening statement where she recanted the story of the alleged sexual assault by SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
Ford's lawyer asked if she wanted a Coke, and she answered that'd be "great." Shortly after, the soda was put in front of her and she opened the bottle on camera for a satisfying fizz.
During questioning about her story, Ford continued to sip on the refreshing Coca-Cola.
Kind of interesting, back in 1991 Anita Hill accused Justice Clarence Thomas of sexual misconduct and famously alleged he once remarked there was a "pubic hair" on his can of Coke.
Safe to say Coca-Cola probably likes this press a little more.
