Christina El Moussa surprised friends and family by turning a Saturday night boat watching party into a wedding with boyfriend Ant Anstead.
The "Flip or Flop" star got married in front of about 70 friends and family at the couple's home in Newport Beach, reports PEOPLE. The couple kept the whole thing a secret by telling friends they would be meeting at the home before being shuttled by a bus to watch the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade.
Anstead told the mag they really wanted "to make it about the kids," saying, "It’s the six of us. We’re a blended family so it was really important for them to be a part of it."
While El Moussa has two young kids ages 8 and 3, Anstead's are slightly older, 15 and 12.
The couple began dating in October 2017 after she split from her hubby and co-star, Tarek El Moussa.
Christina also told PEOPLE she plans on changing her last name: “It has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it? Christina Anstead. We couldn’t be any happier!"
Tarek and Christina El Moussa filed the judgment in their divorce back in January and made very specific provisions to make sure the split was amicable.
As The Blast first reported, the divorce docs made it clear that the couple is not allowed to make “any disparaging or derogatory remarks about the other party in the presence of the minor children or either of them.”
The couple even took it a step further, saying in the docs, “the parties shall not permit the minor children to be in any place where any person (regardless of whether such person is a relative, friend or significant other) is making disparaging or derogatory remarks about the other party.”
Neither side is paying the other child or spousal support and Christina kept the home in Yorba Linda and Tarek held onto a couple of rental properties the couple owns.
To even it out, we’re told Tarek will pay Christina a lump sum payment.
