Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s Beloved Dog Puddy Passes Away

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s snuggly bulldog Puddy just walked across the rainbow bridge and we’re all heartbroken.

Teigen just posted a series of sweet photos and a video of Puddy with a newborn Luna on Instagram. She captioned the photo: “I love you. I will miss you every day.”

The cookbook author explained on social media that they got Puddy a decade ago when the pair first got together. “He was there for everything. Every time I needed a taste tester, someone to kiss or needed to sob into his stinky rolls, he was there.”

She continued, “It’s true what they say. We are their entire lives and it is the greatest shame that they can only bless us with a short spark of time in ours. I always knew I would lose a piece of me when he left us. I feel the hole now. I will love you forever, my boy. My heart aches. Thank you so much for everything, everything.”

Teigen’s tributes to her beloved pupper were precious and heartfelt but still contained her signature wit. On Twitter, she explained the origin of Puddy’s name, which is of course after the fan-favorite “Seinfeld” character David Puddy. Apparently, human Puddy and dog Puddy had a lot in common.

Along with Teigen, Legend and Luna, Puddy’s dog wife Pippa is also mourning the loss of the doggo. Teigen explained on Instagram that, though people didn’t know, the two had quietly wed.

We’re laughing, we’re crying, we’re crying. Ok, we’re mostly crying.

RIP Puddy 💔
