Chris Cornell’s Daughter Releases Touching Duet with Late Rocker

Chris Cornell‘s daughter is remembering her dad on Father’s Day by releasing a sweet rendition of a classic Prince song.

Toni Cornell released a duet of Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U,” a song Cornell had covered back in 2016.

The 13-year-old Cornell posted the video with a touching note, saying, “I love you and miss you so much. You were the best father anyone could ask for.”

She continued, “Our relationship was so special, and you were always there for me. You gave me courage when I didn’t have any. You believed in me when I didn’t. I miss your love everyday. Recording this song with you was a special and amazing experience I wish I could repeat 100 times over and I know you would too. Happy Father’s Day daddy, nothing compares to you.”

Toni paid tribute to her father with a performance of “Hallelujah” on “Good Morning America” shortly after his death.

Chris Cornell died in May 2017 while on tour in Detroit. His death was ruled a suicide.
