Chris Brown has come up empty in his attempt to sue over an alleged extortion attempt but the singer plans to appeal the ruling.
Brown had claimed that in 2015, he was confronted in his hotel room in the Philippines by a group of armed personnel. He claims they tried to extort him "by unlawfully threatening to have him arrested and sent to jail, and demanding $300,000 payment in exchange for safe passage home."
The singer sued a lawyer who he believed was behind the incident.
Attorneys for Brown were in court today and a judge dismissed the case because of jurisdictional issues. According to our sources, Brown plans to appeal the decision.
Complicating matters is the fact that the lawyer Brown is suing, Jose Victor Los Banos Giongco, passed away. We're told Brown plans to go after the man's estate instead.
