Chip and Joanna Gaines DID NOT Sell Beloved 'Fixer Upper' Farmhouse ... Just Some Land [UPDATE]
By TheBlast Staff on October 26, 2017 at 9:34 AM EDT
So it turns out Chip and Joanna Gaines did not sell their ENTIRE property, just a small portion.
A rep for the couple explains, "The Gaines wanted the property line to match the fence line, which required a 0.50-acre tract to be deeded to their neighbors, the Peters family. The Gaines have not sold their home and they do not have any plans to do so."
Holy shiplap!
First, Chip and JoJo announced the end of their HGTV juggernaut "Fixer Upper" and now they've sold off their family home.
The Gaines' famed farmhouse near Waco, TX was featured in nearly every episode of their hit show.
On October 5, Chip and Joanna handed over the deed for their spectacular property to another couple for an undisclosed amount.

The reality stars purchased the 6-bedroom, 2-bathroom, 2,729 sq. ft. home back in 2012.
Obviously, it was a total fixer-upper and the couple even featured the renovation on their website.
Just a few weeks back the duo unexpectedly axed their hit reality show after 5 seasons.
We can't take any more sad news coming out of Magnolia, this latest news is like demo day to our hearts.
