With all the negativity in the world, we desperately needed a win. Luckily, Mr. Peanut is here to save the day with iconic Cheez Balls, and he even gifted the people responsible for getting them back on the market with truckloads of puffs.
Planters tells The Blast Mr. Peanut hand-delivered a “large supply” of Cheez Balls this week to two young saviors who spearheaded petitions to get the snacks back on shelves. It was recently announced that Planters was bringing back Cheez Balls and Cheez Curls for a limited time, and credited the push from fans as the reason for the reboot.
We’re told the mascot first stopped by Las Vegas to visit 9-year-old Marcus, and then drove his NUTmobile to Oaks, Pennsylvania to meet a young lady named Lindsay.
Both kids received photo-ops with Mr. Peanut, and of course enough Cheez Balls to make them the most popular kids in school.
Along with the personal visits, the company also planted multiple canisters of Cheez Balls around online marketplaces like eBay and Craigslist.
For the rest of us, the Balls and Curls will hit the shelves this fall. Better stock up.
