Cesar Milan tried to audit the books of his hit show, “The Dog Whisperer With Cesar Milan,” but claims the production company told him to heel and now he’s given his lawyers the command to sue.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Milan claims after a protracted legal battle, Milan is a 50% profit participant in the show. He says that distinction, as part of a restructuring agreement, gave him the right to conduct a yearly audit of the financial records of everything involved with the show.
But in August 2018, Milan claims his lawyers reached out requesting an accounting of the show’s financial records, but the producers refused.
In addition, Milan claims he’s owed a whopping $1,000,000 to reimburse him for his legal fees for their longstanding court battle.
Milan is suing for access to the accounting he seeks, the million dollars for legal fees, plus damages.
“The Dog Whisperer With Cesar Milan” aired from 2004 to 2012 on the National Geographic Channel and Nat Geo Wild.
