Casey Anthony's mom is unable to testify in the legal battle to save her Florida home from foreclosure, due to her doctor ordering her to bed rest after the stress from the case caused her blood pressure to reach stroke levels.
On August 8, Cindy Anthony filed court docs explaining she suffers from hypertension and due to the stress of the case, her condition has exacerbated to the point that her doctor has said she is unable to testify in court.
Her doctor wrote a note saying Cindy's blood pressure was at "stroke level" and she is currently confined to bed rest. Her lawyer claims he was unable to meet with her to prepare for the trial, which was scheduled for August 10.
The judge agreed and has taken the trial off the calendar for the time being.
Back in 2017, Cindy and George Anthony were sued by U.S. Bank National Association, seeking to foreclose on their Florida home. The suit claimed Casey Anthony’s parents had defaulted on their mortgage and failed to make a single payment in over six years.
They allegedly owed a total of $128,000.
Cindy and George Anthony denied all allegations of wrongdoing and counter-sued the bank. They accused them of failing to give them notice and an opportunity to cure the default.
