Cardi B finally got some good news over the holidays, because her long fought battle with the government over her famous stage name has finally been won.
According to documents, obtained by The Blast, The "Money Bag" rapper was awarded the certificate for "Cardi B" on December 11 by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Acquiring the "Cardi B" trademark to be used for "entertainment services," was no easy feat for the hip-hop star, who originally filed documents in February 2016.
For the past two years, "Cardi B" was constantly in jeopardy over multiple filing issues, including the rapper needing to sign off on her connection to the mark.
It was hit with a suspension and even fully abandoned, but luckily Cardi's legal team was able to drag it out of the fire and save the name.
