Zac Efron just publicly asked Alexandra Daddario out on a date ... a doggy date.

Lately, fans have been trying to figure out: are they or aren't they dating? Efron's recent Instagram comment may be giving us answers!

The actor posted a photo of his new dog, Maca, and asked a special question to his "Baywatch" co-star in the comments. Tagging Daddario's Instagram handle, he wrote, "doggy date?"

The two have been dodging relationship rumors for months, but are having a hard time keeping it a secret lately because they can't stay off each other's Instagram pages. In fact, he also posted a cheeky comment on a photo of Daddario with her dog.

"Two hot bitches," he wrote.

Both of these comments come a week after the two were actually spotted at a pet store with their dogs together.

We get it, Efron — we'd get a dog too if it got us closer to dating Daddario!
