‘Love & Hip Hop’ star Yung Berg says he did NOT assault a woman who was inside of his home over the weekend, in fact, he says he is the true victim of a ‘planned and coordinated’ home invasion robbery and was only defending himself.
Yung Berg aka ‘Hitmaka’ issued a statement through his attorney, Shepard Kopp, to explain the events leading up to physical violence that occurred with the woman.
“On Saturday morning, March 14, 2020, Christian “Hitmaka” Ward was the victim of a planned and coordinated home invasion robbery and assault,” the statement began.
He continued, “Talia Tilley came to Mr. Ward’s house at around 3:40 am. Although she had been to Mr. Ward’s house before and was familiar with the layout of the house, she is not now and never has been his girlfriend, and has been falsely reported in some media stories.”
As we reported, the LAPD police report states the two were in a “dating relationship” and it was classified as ‘intimate partner violence.”
Yung Berg’s lawyer explained, “Even though it was late and approximately 50 degrees outside, Ms. Tilley strangely suggested that they get in the hot tub. Mr. Ward declined her request. After some physical intimacy. Ms. Tilley made a calculated, unprovoked attack on Mr. Ward, slapping and punching him repeatedly.”
He continued, “Mr. Ward defended himself against the attack.”
Hitmaka’s says, “In the middle of the assault by Ms. Tilley, the security alarm for the back door of Mr. Ward’s house went off. The ADT security company has records of the alarm, and the home security company Ring captured video footage of two armed assailants jumping the fence into Mr. Ward’s backyard, while a third man acted as a lookout. The robbers were unable to get into the house because the back door was secured by a heavy chain with a lock. Right after this alarm sounded, Mr. Ward saw one of the robbers running back from the back door towards the fence. He then heard the robbers trying unsuccessfully to kick open his front door.”
He continued, “Following these startling events, Mr. Ward was able to view Ms. Tilley’s phone, and saw that she had been in communication with and was sharing her location with an unknown person. This person was calling and texting her before, during, and after this attempted home invasion robbery.”
It appears Yung Berg’s team is insinuating the woman who filed the police report against him for attacking her, could have been involved in the robbery.
The attorney claims, “Mr. Ward has provided this information and material, including videos and phone records to the Los Angeles Police Department in hopes that the perpetrators may be captured and brought to justice.”
As we reported, the former ‘Love & Hip Hop’ star was accused by a woman of ‘pistol-whipping’ her, causing a broken nose and other injuries.
The woman filed a police report with LAPD and was hospitalized for her injuries. She was also given an emergency protective order against Berg. At this point, the alleged victim has not responded to the allegations made by Ward.
