Rapper Young Jeezy worked out a $30,000 deal with the mother of his daughter to avoid having to fight in court.

According to Bossip, the rapper was recently battling his ex, Mahlet “Mahi” Gebremedhin, over the support of their daughter Amra. The original paternity case was filed by Jeezy back in April 2019.

Based on court records obtained by The Blast, it appears the two were getting along fine until around February 2020. Per their deal, Jeezy pays his ex $7,500 a month in child support plus $30,000 per year for school tuition. He agreed to provide health insurance and pay $30,000 towards a new car for Mahlet.

Recently, Mahi filed a motion for contempt against Jeezy accusing him of backing out of an agreement to buy her a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. She sent over the purchase information to the rapper’s lawyer but got push back. His lawyer attempted to argue the rapper’s finances had taken a hit due to the pandemic. His team offered a variety of “payment options” but did not want to send her the money “blindly” and wanted documentation to back up the sale.

The two were finally able to hash out an agreement and Jeezy sent her the $30,000 for the Jeep. Jeezy and Mahi were engaged back in 2016 but called it off.

Earlier this year, Jeezy proposed to his girlfriend/”The Real” host Jeannie Mai. The proposal went down at his Los Angeles home on March 27.

Mai’s rep told People, “Jeannie and Jay were set for a trip to Vietnam this April. What Jeannie didn’t know is that Jay was planning to propose. Instead, Jay decided to bring Vietnam to Jeannie with a surprise quarantine date night in his home filled with Vietnamese food and decor.”

The two have yet to set a wedding date.
