Legendary voice actor Jim Cummings believes his ex-wife has been on a campaign of extortion and says he has contacted the FBI over what he calls "horrendous and malicious lies."
The voice of Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, among countless other Disney stars, penned an open letter to his fans in response to the disturbing allegations made by his ex-wife, Stephanie.
Cummings, who currently has custody of his two daughters, says, "This ordeal has reinforced the importance of me being the best father that I can be to my younger daughters and aI am honored by the steadfast support of my two adult children."
He also says believes, "The campaign was a clear attempt to extort me, with the fear of the false allegations being presented to the press."
Cummings is referring to allegations made by Stephanie in their bitter ongoing custody war, in which she has accused the voice actor of sexual assault and animal abuse.
The 66-year-old star says he has now contacted the FBI, and "also begun working with local law enforcement authorities in exposing these horrendous and malicious lies that have only been made for monetary gain."
Cummings thanked his fans for the support throughout the legal battle, and said, "I remain humbly and eternally grateful to you all."
