Wilmer Valderrama started off the new year with some big life news: The 39-year-old actor got engaged to his girlfriend, model Amanda Pacheco. Both of them shared the same photo to their Instagram accounts of Valderrama on one knee popping the question.

The posts were tagged with the location "La Jolla, San Diego," and the two were perched on some rocks at the edge of the ocean.

"'It’s just us now' 01-01-2020," he captioned the image.

Marlon Waynes commented, "All growed up. Congrats brother."

Eva Longoria replied with clapping hands emojis.

Gabrielle Union wrote "Congrats!!!!"

Fans got in on the comments, too. "I love how you love my girl, @seaweanie you guys are made for each other. I’m sooo soo happy for you both," one wrote.

"Omg congratulations I hope you guys have an amazing 2020 and the rest of your lives together!" another said.

"OH MY GOD THIS MAKES ME THE HAPPIEST!!! Congrats my best friend!!!! Congrats to the both of you!! You’re perfect for each other," another replied.

The day before the engagement, Pacheco shared a gallery of Instagram images of her and Valderrama adventuring around Baja California on all terrain vehicles.

"Found a pack to run wild and free with, filled with so much love going into the new year, grateful for this fam," she wrote.

The couple has had a whirlwind romance after only dating for less than a year. They were first spotted in public together in April.

"He definitely wants to make sure she feels taken care of," a source told E! News at the time. "Even if they are just doing simple things, they have a lot of fun and are always smiling."

They made things Instagram official in June.

Pacheco spoke to Entertainment Tonight in November about her relationship with the actor.

"I gotta say that I am very happy in my life. In this very moment I feel like, it's so interesting, you work so far for so long and you feel like all of a sudden you're starting over again," she said.

"And in my career, specifically in my personal life, I am very happy where I am at. I think that I have grown up to be the man that I am meant to be. I am the most grounded that I've ever been. I'm the most excited and the most energetic about what's ahead of me. I'm ready for the next chapter."
