Wendy Williams' soon-to-be ex-husband is concerned that without him managing her career and finances, vultures could swoop into her life and cause financial and personal havoc.

Sources close to the former couple tell The Blast that while Kevin Hunter understands Wendy’s decision to go through with a divorce, and has no plans to fight it, he has concerns about the people around her.

Kevin is telling those close to him that he fears Wendy is in a vulnerable state at the moment. We're told he feels that for the majority of her career, he "protected her interests" while she did her thing on television and acted as a buffer between Wendy and any scammers, shady business dealers, and generally bad people.

As The Blast previously reported, Wendy Williams filed for divorce from Kevin Hunter following 21 years of marriage after his mistress gave birth. Kevin hashed out the exit deal from the talk show this week and has been removed as an executive producer. They are still working out their divorce settlement with millions on the line.

Kevin was not only an executive producer on the hit television show, he’s also one of the owners of Wendy’s production company, which co-produces the show.

We’re told he's looking for an even distribution of their assets and believes the couple both played an active role in accumulating their success over the years.
