Wendy Williams finally got just what the doctor ordered … a delicious peach cobbler!
The talk show host was invited to the home of Dr. Mehmet Oz on Sunday for lunch, as the two stars have been friends for years while working as TV personalities.
Wendy has frequently appeared on Dr. Oz’s show to discuss her health and addiction issues, but rarely do they get to kick back and enjoy a day without the cameras rolling.
Along with Dr. Oz and his wife Lisa, Wendy brought along her close friend Jamie Silverman, who also happens to be the luxury real estate agent handling the sale on her New Jersey mansion.
We’re told the lunch at Casa de Oz in Cliffside Park, NJ was prepared from scratch by the doctor’s wife.
The spread included a caprese salad, crudités, smoked salmon, chicken, prosciutto wrapped melon and a homemade peach cobbler.
Oz also served fresh honey from the beehives that his family collects on their property.
Sources tell us the topic of conversation revolved around Wendy and many of the personal changes in her life, including her divorce from Kevin Hunter and her ongoing treatment for Lymphedema.
In fact, we’re told the two longtime friends may even be teaming up to bring more awareness to Lymphedema, which could even include Wendy appearing on Dr. Oz’s daytime talk show to discuss her personal situation.
After lunch, the group took a tour of Dr. Oz’s magnificent home, and strolled through his gardens.
We’re told the whole day was incredibly relaxing, and Wendy was in very high spirits.
The star listened to the doc’s advice about living her best life, and made it clear she’s excited to get back to “The Wendy Williams Show” when she returns to the air in September.
