A massive protest in Philadelphia turned into a wedding reception on Saturday afternoon after a couple decided to join the march following their nuptials -- and the video is not only heartwarming but powerful!

According to reports, Kerry Anne and Michael Gordon joined one of the largest protests in the U.S. today, in Philly, after exiting the Lohan Hotel in their wedding attire.

The newly married couple made their way to Benjamin Franklin Parkway where they joined with the crowd who was protesting the brutal killing of George Floyd.

The couple emerged from the hotel to a roar of applause and cheering from the huge crowd marching from the Philadelphia Museum of Art to City Hall.

In a surreal moment, the crowd parted for the couple, who were holding hands, and watched them share a kiss in the middle of the street.

As you can imagine the crowd went nuts! -- and it turned into a huge wedding party for the newlyweds.

In one video, which appears to be posted by the woman who married the couple, she writes, "My first in-person elopement since quarantine... It couldn’t be a better @marriedbyrevroxy WEDDING... First looks in the heart of protest...😉"

The powerful moment went viral on social media, and many weighed in on the impact of such a statement.

"Wow wow wow. If there ever was a statement to be made about bigger pictures on the most important day of your life 👏🏼👏🏼," one person wrote.

Another added, 'Omg I got chills!!!! So powerful!!!! Congratulations ❤️❤️❤️"

The 'Today' Show posted a video of the couple's kiss in the middle of the protest, and captioned it, "The power of love! Newlyweds Dr. Kerry-Anne Perkins and Michael Gordon kiss amid a protest in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 6, 2020. ❤️❤️"
