Walmart Pulls 'Impeach 45' Shirts from Website After Threats of Boycott

By TheBlast Staff

12:40 PM PT: Walmart tells The Blast, "These items were sold by third party sellers on our open marketplace, and were not offered directly by Walmart."

The company says they are now "removing these types of items pending review of our marketplace policies."

Walmart has apparently heard the cries of the public and yanked a line of baby shirts about impeaching the president after supporters of Donald Trump threatened a boycott.

The "President Donald Trump Soft Baby One Piece" emblazoned with the words "Impeach 45" have gone missing from Walmart's online store. A link to the onesie now directs to a non-existent webpage.

It's unclear when the mega-retailer decided to remove the merch, but Tuesday morning there were plenty of upset customers who claimed the company was catering to the "far-left" and called for a boycott of the entire company.

The baby clothes were apparently made by a company called Old Glory, who have yet to comment on the backlash.

It's unclear if the controversial clothes were carried in actual stores, or was only available online.

The Blast reached out to Walmart before the clothes went offline, and were told by a spokesperson that they were "checking into" the situation.
