Vince Vaughn seemed pretty engrossed in conversation with the businessman as he nodded and even shook Donald Trump’s hand at one point. Meanwhile, Melania Trump sat and smiled alongside her husband’s side. The “Wedding Crashers” star was even seen smiling during their catch-up session which has now made the rounds on Twitter and fans are pissed. “Vince Vaughn had the chance to stand up to a rapist, traitor, and child murderer, and instead he enthusiastically shook Donald Trump’s hand. Fuck em both,” wrote one fan. “Another reason to hate Vince Vaughn,” shared another. “I’m canceling Vince Vaughn. Used to be my favorite and now he’s hanging out with the scum of the earth,” posted someone else.

Others seem to be staying impartial. “I wonder how people will treat Vince Vaughn after the outburst about Ellen being friends with George W. Bush,” another shared, while some are backing the actor. “I don’t understand why everyone is so annoyed and disappointed with Vince Vaughn for having a civil and respectful conversation with @realDonaldTrump. If he’s a Republican...so what? He’s allowed to have his own opinion without people wanting him cancelled!” stated someone else.

According to Vince Vaughn’s rep, who spoke to People , the actor and president did not attend the game together but rather “met this evening at the game briefly.” Despite their friendly conversation, Vince Vaughn did not back Donald Trump in the 2016 Presidential election. In fact, his support swung in the direction of his competition, Republican candidate Rand Paul. As for Donald Trump, he got a warm welcome and was met with “U-S-A!” chants as he entered the stadium.
