“The Vanilla Ice Project” star Vanilla Ice was caught speeding while driving around Florida and was cited by law enforcement.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the rapper (real name: Robert Matthew Van Winkle) was pulled over by the Florida Highway Patrol on July 27 at 10:31 a.m.
Vanilla Ice’s speed was caught by a laser when he was allegedly driving 75 mph in a 65-mph zone.
The rapper was driving a 2017 black Ford car and did not have any passengers with him.
The officer then pulled over the rapper and wrote out a ticket that Ice will have to deal with. The amount of fine he will have to pay totals $206. He was given a notice to appear in court later this month.
Vanilla Ice is still in the middle of a nasty divorce from his ex-Laura Van Winkle. Laura originally filed in 2016 and the case has dragged on for close to two years, with both fighting over support and division of their assets. Recently, subpoenas have been fired off in the divorce seeking information about each party’s income.
The rapper does have good news with his reality show “The Vanilla Ice Project” returning last month. The show focuses on Vanilla Ice flipping homes, and is currently in its is eighth season on the DIY Network.
The show follows Vanilla Ice who has been working in home improvement since the 1990’s.
The rapper even used the show to launch his own side business Vanilla Ice Real Estate, which provides real estate guidance to his fans.
