Vanessa Hudgens Responds To Coronavirus Backlash, Says Words Were 'Taken Out Of Context'

Vanessa Hudgens is fighting back, claiming that what she said about Coronavirus on Instagram Live was "taken out of context." The 31-year-old "High School Musical" star took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday in an attempt to clear up the controversy and addressing the backlash she has been experiencing since last night's comments. For those of you who didn't see it, Vanessa Hudgen's posted a live video while responding to some of her fans' concerns about the disease but her answers made many feel that she was not taking Coronavirus seriously.

When one viewer wrote that the shutdown might continue well into summer, Vanessa Hudgens responded, “Um, yeah, ’til July sounds like a bunch of bulls---.” The actress also stated, “I’m sorry, but like, it’s a virus, I get it, like, I respect it, but at the same time I’m like, even if everybody gets it, like yeah, people are going to die, which is terrible but like, inevitable?” which caused tons of controversy. At the time, it appeared Vanessa Hudgen's knew what she was saying would cause a riot because she was also heard on the live video stating, “I don’t know. Maybe I shouldn’t be doing this right now?"

Addressing The Backlash:

Several people took to Twitter bashing Vanessa Hudgens with some saying these comments will end her career. "F--- Vanessa Hudgens and f--- everyone being irresponsible and not taking this seriously," one person wrote. "Vanessa Hudgens' career will be dead after posting this. It's like inevitable," posted another. Now, the controversial star has taken to her Instagram to address the issue, but fans aren't buying it. "I realize that some of my comments are being taken out of context. It’s a crazy time. it’s a crazy, crazy, time, " she stated.

"I am at home and I am in lockdown and I hope that’s what you guys are doing, too; in full quarantine and staying safe and sane," she added while making sure everyone knows she Coronavirus seriously. "I don’t take this situation lightly by any means. Stay inside y’all." She's lighting social media up with both videos and several are putting her on blast for not owning her words and failing to apologize. "You’re 31, not a child. My niece is 24 and is at the hospital right now dealing with infected patients. F--- YOU! @VanessaHudgens," one person wrote. "And that’s exactly why Sharpay was superior. No wonder why Austin Butler left Vanessa Hudgens’ ass, who would want to spend more years with an idiot?" posted another.
