Their 19th wedding anniversary comes just one day after the WNBA honored Vanessa's husband and their late 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, for their love of the game. Gigi passed away alongside her father when the helicopter they were riding in crashed on January 26. During the WNBA draft on Friday, Gigi and her two teammates who died in the crash also were named honorary draftees. Vanessa addressed the huge honor with several posts of their daughter. Showing a photo of Gigi on the court, Vanessa wrote, "I’m so proud of you, Gigi. God I miss you baby. You deserved to live a long, healthy and happy life. I wish I could hold you and tell you how proud I am of you. You’re the best, baby girl. Mommy loves and misses you more than I could ever express."
