'Vanderpump Rules' Star Kristen Doute Slammed For Claiming She's Not A 'Hateful' Person

By Whitney Vasquez

Kristen Doute is facing major backlash after claiming she's never a "hateful" person. The former "Vanderpump Rules" star caused a firestorm when she lashed out on social media, begging others to unfollow her if they don't like her "outspoken" and admittedly sometimes "caddy" ways. Taking to her Twitter on Monday, June 29, the disgraced Bravo personality fired off on her followers after catching slack for openly speaking about legalizing marijuana laws in several states all over the U.S., pointing out that there are more important things the nation needs to worry about right now.

Her Tweet:

"I’m not here trying to upset or rile anyone up," Kristen Doute tweeted after her stance backfired with several fans. "I’m an outspoken person with opinions & beliefs. I’m super passionate. I’ve been immature & caddy at times but never hateful."

Telling her Twitter followers, "I welcome your voice if it comes with kindness," she instructed those who can't respect her, "Please don’t tell me to shut up. Just unfollow." The "never hateful" part is what has many people talking, especially after being fired from Bravo.

Fired From Bravo Over Racial Incident:

As The Blast reported, Kristen Doute and Stassi Schroeder were axed from "Vanderpump Rules" after an incident where they racially profiled their ex co-star Faith Stowers came to light. Faith recalled the time where the girls called the cops to report her because she looked like a black woman who was wanted for robbery. Now, Kristen Doute has opened up the floodgates again with many pointing to that incident and disagreeing with her tweet about not being "hateful."

Fans Slam Kristen Over Tweet!

One person mocked her, claiming she's pulling the "victim" card. "'I welcome your voice if it comes with kindness.' So you're allowed the PRIVILEGE to speak your mind but want to police how other people voice theirs? You've learned nothing. The victim routine is old. And tired," the follower commented. Others attacked her for not apologizing to Faith.

"If black people don't want to see you posting about BLM after not properly apologizing to Faith or admitting that it was racially driven than that's our right. The only people defending you are white people.... have some respect for the people that this is actually about," stated another.

Demanding An Apology:

Many mirrored the stance that Kristen Doute needs to dish out an apology if she wants respect. "Kristen, if you're going to speak up address why you haven't apologized to Faith directly. How are you going to do better in the future?" questioned a third. Another fan said they were "annoyed" and accused Kristen and Stassi of sweeping the Faith situation under the rug. "You guys being fired was huge, and there's been nothing said since. I think people would just like more closure on the situation," the person wrote.
