Jax Taylor can’t catch a break. The “Vanderpump Rules” star found his name being racked through the mud after his co-star Katie Maloney tweeted about Breonna Taylor. After Maloney posted that justice hasn’t been served for the 26-year-old black woman who was shot to death by cops while she slept ahead of her birthday, fans quickly turned their focus to Jax Taylor bringing up the time he used fake cops to “arrest” Tom Sandoval as a prank. “Pump Rules” viewers will remember that Katie Maloney was angry over the joke.
She made it clear that she took issue with the prank and everyone, including her husband, Tom Schwartz, thought she was overreacting. On Sunday, June 21, Katie Maloney tweeted, “Breonna Taylor’s name is no longer trending and the police that murdered her are still free. If you see this please reply/quote/tweet on your own.” She continued by voicing her strong opinion that the cops need to be punished.
“ARREST BRETT HANKISON, JONATHAN MATTINGLY & MYLES COSGROVE FOR THE MURDER OF #BREONNATAYLOR,” she demanded.
Now, Bravo fans are applauding her for standing up for what she believes in and not backing down. “THIS IS WHY YLU MADE A BIG DEAL THE COP “joke” for @mrjaxtaylor a birthday! I love you for that Katie,” one person wrote before adding, “You are so woke.” Many quickly responded to the fan’s comment agreeing with them. When someone didn’t, others quickly defended Katie. “YOU ARE A JOKE! All of a sudden (with the firing of your coworkers you are ALL of a sudden an activist). BYE GIRL,” one hater wrote.
Speaking up for Katie Maloney, another person insured the hater that her intentions are good. “That’s not true at all. Katie was pissed about the cop prank Jax pulled for these exact reasons,” they explained. Jax Taylor has found himself at the center of controversy after Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were fired from “Vanderpump Rules” over a racist incident involving their former co-star Faith Stowers. Now, fans are asking Bravo to take action against Jax, calling him “homophobic,” “racist,” and “sexist.”
But Jax Taylor isn’t the only Bravo personality they are coming after. Fans also want his wife, Brittany Cartwright, and Lala Kent gone. Cartwright found herself in hot water after sticking up for Jax’s behavior on the “Vanderpump Rules” reunion. As for Lala, viewers pointed out the rude behavior she’s exhibited against her castmates in every season. As of this post, Bravo is not listening to fans’ screams and has not commented if any other starts are on the chopping block.
