Snoop Dogg is the latest to back the USWNT’s quest for equal pay.
The United States Women’s National Team absolutely crushed the FIFA World Cup this year, defending their title as best soccer team in the world and taking home first place. Players like Megan Rapinoe and Alex Morgan played their hearts out on the field, earning their victory with magnificent displays of skill and grit.
1 billion people watched #FIFAWWC this year. The ‘99-ers not only paved the way for this #USWNT’s success, but they also began the fight for equal pay some 20 years ago. Collective voices cannot be ignored! #EqualPay #PayThem

The women’s team’s domination has led to a widespread discussion of pay equality, because despite the fact that the USWNT is winning championships while USMNT isn’t, the men still are paid significantly more.
The discourse has gotten so fierce that the crowds even began chanting “Equal pay!” during the final game.

This has led many people to weigh in on equal pay, including rapper and pop culture icon Snoop Dogg. While he may not be the first person to come to mind when you think “feminism in sports,” but ol’ Snoop is clearly an ally here. In a video posted to Twitter, Snoop had this to say.
“The sorry ass fcking men from the U.S. soccer team, they ain’t ever won sht, ain’t gonna ever win sht, can’t get out the fcking first round… Man, PAY THEM LADIES!”
The man is not wrong!
Uncle Snoop says PAY THE LADIES! @USWNT
