The UFC has completely changed what it means to fight like a girl, and now they are strengthening their dedication to female fighters with an exclusive line of gear.
According to documents obtained by The Blast, UFC's parent company Zuffa just moved to register "Octagon Girl" and "G Octagon Girl" in May for a line of fitness and fighting products. They include:
Boxing and MMA equipment; including gloves, kick pads, chest protectors, body shields, exercise balls and punching bags
Water bottles and drink shakers
Ear buds, headphones, cell phone accessories
Along with the training gear, UFC also appears to be turning Octagon Girl into a fashion brand with coats, dresses, scarves, sleepwear, warm up suits, luggage and travel bags.
Octagon Girls have long been associated with UFC, but it's nice to see the company evolving the brand and supporting women in the sport.
It's unclear when UFC will make the official announcement on the new Octagon Girl swag, but there's no doubt that when they do it'll probably be done by star Octagon Girl, Arianny Celeste. Celeste hit up Nobu in West Hollywood earlier this week, and seems to be able to attract the attention a new clothing launch deserves.
