Kim Kardashian & Kanye West Targeted In Massive Twitter Hack Promoting Bitcoin Scam!

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West just joined the growing list of famous celebrities and important people, including former President Barack Obama and Bill Gates, who has been targeted in a massive Twitter hack urging their followers to donate money in a giant Bitcoin scam.

Earlier today, a huge number of Twitter accounts were hacked posting a similar message about giving 'back to the community' and sharing a Bitcoin wallet address for the place to donate.

The message told followers the famous person owning the Twitter account would double the amount they donated.

The massive hack included a huge group of high-profile Twitter accounts including Uber, Apple, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Barack Obama, Jeff Bezos, and even Presidental hopeful Joe Biden.

"I'm feeling generous because of Covid-19," read a now-deleted tweet from Elon Musk's account. "I'll double any BTC payment sent to my BTC address for the next hour. Good luck, and stay safe out there!" it concluded.

Following the massive breach, Twitter support issued a statement saying it is "aware of a security incident impacting accounts on Twitter. We are investigating and taking steps to fix it. We will update everyone shortly."

In many of the messages, the famous accounts asked followers to send $1,000 in Bitcoin to a specific address and promised to double the amount ($,2000) in return.

Of course, many of the famous users deleted the tweets quickly after they released the issue, but it appears some money was lost in the scheme.

According to one report, Bitcoin transaction receipts showed that the address listed in the scam had has received more than 11 Bitcoin — or roughly $101,300.

But, it's possible the transactions were done by the perpetrators of the scam to make the account seem legitimate.

Interestingly, the scam tweets also appeared on several high-profile cryptocurrency companies' Twitter accounts too, including Gemini, KUCOIN, and Binance.

Twitter Is Investigating The Situation, Was Forced To Stop Tweeting Altogether!


The Twitter attack came just hours after it was announced Kanye West had filed documents with the FEC, appearing like he was taking actual steps to take a run at the White House.

According to reports, he has yet to file a few other important documents, but it doesn't look like he has given up his shot at becoming President.

As for the massive hack, it is currently under investigation, and it's unclear who was behind the scam.

Shockingly, according to The Verge, Twitter also took the 'unprecedented measure' of stopping verified accounts from tweeting at all. It appears this would be the first time it has ever taken such an extreme step in the company's history.
