Travis Barker's 2-Year-Old Super Fan Tragically Dies From Childhood Cancer

By Mike Walters

Travis Barker's youngest superfan, Mavrick Daniels, just lost his battle with childhood cancer months after he received the greatest gift he could imagine, a personal message from his favorite drummer.

Young Mavrick was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma and fought the disease valiantly for most of his life. On Sunday, the young Mavrick died after the young fighter succumbed to the disease.

A statement was issued by FAM (Fighting All Monsters) the charity organization whose mission it is to combat childhood cancer, and fought alongside Mavrick, saying, "Two-year-old Mavrick has fought Rhabdomyosarcoma his entire life. He did it while loving trips to the zoo, snuggling with family and of course drumming on anything that stood still. Mavrick fought again and again despite relapse, failed treatments and finally, even after hearing the words “there isn't anything else we can do," it began.

Little Mavrick Loses His Battle With Cancer...

They continued, "At just two, Mavrick showed the world what a warrior is. Yesterday he laid down his sword and ended his battle with Rhabdomyosarcoma. This mighty champion who drummed his way into hearts across the world is now at peace and pain-free. Now THIS FAMily must wrap their arms around Mavrick’s family as they carry on his love for life without him. Mav, your fierce fighting spirit will never be forgotten, rest now, your FAMily will carry on your beat."

As we reported, Mavrick was a HUGE Travis Barker fan and would watch videos of Barker hammering the drums which helped the young boy deal with his more painful days.

Gift Of A Lifetime From His Biggest Hero!

After Mavrick's parents found out his cancer was back for the third time, FAM was able to connect Barker with his young fan and do the coolest thing in the world. Travis sent a personal message to Mav, and he was able to see it before he passed.

"Sending you all the love and strength from deep inside my heart to you and your family -- and I am so honored and so excited when I see you dancing around and watching me play drums and I hope I can provide any amount of strength and happiness throughout the day -- I wish i could be there with you," Travis said.

Also speaking to his parents, saying, "To mavericks heart goes out to you all my love goes out to you my condolences stay strong and please keep me updated."

FAM (Fighting All Monsters) -- Donate To Mavrick's Family

FAM, through its founder Milk Tyson, has been able to help many kids suffering from the horrible disease to connect to some of their favorite celebrities in Hollywood.

The foundation connected James Corden with a 12-year-old whose wish it was to appear on 'Carpool Karaoke' and she was able to get a private session with the late-night host.

Recently, FAM also made one 11-year-old wishes come true after she was able to connect with her favorite "DWTS" star, Julianne Hough.
