Tory Lanez is getting attacked online after reportedly issuing Megan Thee Stallion an apology for allegedly shooting her. According to reports, the “Jerry Sprunger” rapper sent Megan a text on July 12 about 15 hours after the shooting took place. In the text, he never mentioned a shooting but he did apologize for something, claiming he got “too drunk.”
Blaming whatever he’s apologizing for on the alcohol did not sit well with the “Hot Girl Summer” rapper’s fans who went postal on Tory after the text surfaced.
According to TMZ, who claims they have obtained the text, Tory Lanez opened up by writing, “I know u prolly [sic] never gone talk to me again, but I genuinely want u to know I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart.”
Instead of taking full responsibility, he blamed it on the booze. “I was just too drunk,” he explained to her. While Tory Lanez never copped to the shooting, he did show remorse over something. “None the less s–t should have never happened and I can’t change what did. I just feel horrible,” he said.
Before ending his message to Megan Thee Stallion, Tory Lanez allegedly brought it back to the alcohol. “Cuz I genuinely just got too drunk,” he wrote. But fans aren’t having it and immediately began slamming the rapper on social media following the alleged text making their rounds.
Some insisted that Tory Lanez needs to seek help with his drinking. “Ummmm maybe you should stop drinking. You have a problem,” one person wrote. Others slammed him for his “too drunk” reasoning. “Boy even I get drunk but not drunk enough to shoot a beautiful black queen,” added a second.
“That’s not a good excuse buddy. I been drunk a lot in my life and it didn’t make me shot [sic] a female in da foot,” posted another. “Raise your hand if you’ve ever been ‘too drunk’ and still didn’t shoot anybody in the foot,” someone else wrote.
As The Blast reported, Megan Thee Stallion was rushed to the hospital in July after leaving a party at Kylie Jenner‘s house. She was shot in both feet and didn’t identify her shooter as Tory Lanez until weeks ago after facing backlash over her speedy recovery.
