The statement came after the rapper received tons of criticism for dropping the album.

"Tory Lanez chose September 25th to release Daystar on the anniversary of the day his mother, Luella Peterson died-which was also her birthday. A portion of profits from the album will be donated to organizations supporting women, children, and victims of violence as well as the Breonna Taylor Foundation," a representative for the rapper said at the time.

Tory Lanez is due in court to face the charges on October 13, at this point Megan Thee Stallion has not commented on the charges.
